For those of you having trouble saying goodbye to summer, it feels like there may be some “warm” fall days to enjoy. With the sun still high, and the September breeze easing everyone in to the cooler months, there is time to celebrate the summer and prepare for the fall festivities.
Follow this easy recipe below and send off your summer with Sangria. Whether you are a Mom or Dad who love your wine, or someone who prefers to simply sip, this recipe is light and sweet, providing you with the perfect excuse to hold on to the summer, if only for one more day.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of red wine
(Suggestion: Beaujolais-Villages, Louis Jadot) - 1/2 cup Domaine Du Perat-Pineau
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- fruit cut in to wedges or slices
- 1 orange
- 1/2 pear
- 1/2 peach
- 6-12 strawberries (quartered
- 1 can of diet ginger ale
Directions:
Pour wine (of your choice, suggestions provided above) in to a pitcher and add fruit. Stir, combining the diet ginger ale (club soda may be substituted). Add ice to chill.
